For nearly 25 years, Darrell Ellisor has been helping clients pursue their retirement goals.  His extensive experience allows him to provide plan design assistance and help in identifying investment options in connection with the broad range requirement of ERISA 401(c).  He focuses extensively on educating plan sponsors regarding potential plan design options for their participants' so they can pursue their retirement goals. 

Prior to co-founding Peak Financial Group in 2002, Darrell built a successful wealth management practice, representing Equitable Life and MassMutual Life.  He earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations as a demonstration of his commitment furthering his knowledge of insurance, managing risk and creating financial plans.  As he transitioned into his current role as a retirement plan advisor, he earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Designation and was recently recognized as one of the nation’s “Top Financial Advisors of 2015 & 2016” as ranked by The Financial Times1.

Darrell is passionate about serving plan sponsors and participants.  He provides 404(c) assistance for his clients' plans so they can operate within ERISA guidelines and provides fiduciary education to plan sponsors and trustees.   Clients can expect Darrell to build long-term relationships that engender trust and confidence.  He understands that clear communication and ongoing education for plan fiduciaries and participants is vital to successful outcomes.

Darrell has been actively involved as a leader in several industry groups and charitable advisory committees, including various charity golf tournaments and educational fundraising. 

A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Darrell is an outgoing person who likes meeting new people and learning their unique stories.  A devoted family man, Darrell enjoys coaching baseball, shooting sporting clays, fishing and hiking.
